About FNF D-Sides

FNF D-Sides is a fan-made rhythm arcade mod released in 2021 by the D-Sides Team, built on the original Friday Night Funkin’ engine. The genre stays focused on music-based challenge and score accuracy, but this version reworks the full experience. Over 25 remixed tracks, redesigned characters, and updated menus give the gameplay a sharper, more intense feel. Boyfriend moves through seven weeks of tougher rhythm battles, facing opponents that range from playful to unsettling, while Girlfriend watches from the speaker as always.

The mod continues to evolve. Version 2.5 expanded Weeks 3 and 4 with seven remixed songs and new character looks. Version 2.7 added God Feast, a Thanksgiving-themed rap battle arc featuring Sonic.exe variants like Majin Sonic and Lord X, alongside fast tracks such as Too-Slow. Version 3.0 increased the challenge in Weeks 6 and 7, bringing in opponents like Spirit, Tricky, and even a darker Mario-inspired battle.

Controls Guide

  • Arrow Keys or WASD hit the notes

  • Enter start or pause

  • Space confirm in menus (sometimes)

  • Don’t mash keys, timing matters

  • Miss too much and your health bar drops

That’s it. Simple controls. The hard part is keeping up.

Explore Fabulous Features

  • 25+ remixed songs with different patterns

  • Redesigned characters in every week

  • Seven full weeks, each getting harder

  • Sonic.exe-style update with God Feast

  • Freeplay mode to retry any track

  • Faster charts than the base game

  • Songs like Bopeebo, Milf, Monster, Stress, but not how you remember them

It doesn’t just look different. The rhythm feels tighter and less forgiving.

A Few Quick Tips

  • Try Easy mode first if charts feel too fast

  • Listen to the beat, not just the arrows

  • Practice hard songs in Freeplay

  • Stay relaxed during long tracks

  • Focus on clean hits, not perfect score

D-Sides is straightforward. Hit notes, survive the song, move to the next week. But once the speed kicks in, it turns into a real challenge.
